Do you know that permits are required to gather or remove any forest products like pine cones, acorns, rocks, plants and wood? By taking even the smallest "souvenirs" we are removing homes, food and shelter for the forest's plants and animals. The Valyermo District Office issues permits on a limited basis so that they can help maintain nature's balance in our forests.
